I’m really loving this conversation on Ancestral Healing. During the interview, Eileen talks about an experience she had doing a Biofield Tuning session for a Māori woman. It was during a teacher training class and she states how everyone in the room felt the presence of the woman’s Māori ancestors come through and how at the end of the session she could see the ancestors bow in appreciation for the healing. This story really touches my heart, because I often feel the presence of my clients ancestors when I am in session with them and the love and honor that comes through is immense.
Growing up in American culture, we are often not taught to connect with our ancestors. There’s usually one or two people in each family who show an interest in their lineages, but the vast majority don’t care, because we aren’t taught that it is important.
When we make the conscious choice to journey through our ancestral DNA, we create the opportunity to heal the inherited wounds, but also embody the inherited strengths. Some say that when we heal the wounds of our ancestors, we also heal the seven generations that come after us. How beautiful is that? It’s not an easy task, but anchoring peace into our family lineage and embodying that peace within ourselves is so worth it.
